Melissa J. Thompson, MD

Dr. Melissa Thompson, MD, did her undergraduate studies at the College of Saint Mary in Omaha, NE, where she graduated Sigma cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry and Biology. She received her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE. She did her residency training in Family Medicine in Davenport, IA. After residency, she worked in northern Iowa before coming to Adair County in 2001. Dr. Thompson is no stranger to small town living, having grown up near Turney, MO, a town of 150 people. She currently lives in rural Adair County with her husband, Michael, and children, Sean and Genevieve.Being a full time mother and physician leaves little time for hobbies, although she does enjoy reading when she can stay awake long enough
